Does love exist only in love stories?
Before answering this difficult question it should be mentioned that as far as love is concerned there are two different opinions. The first point of view belongs to the people who are certain about the fact that love has always existed. The rest of people have their doubts about this fact. In a sense, the first ones may be those imaginative people who compose breathtaking love stories to share their feelings and impressions with others and the second ones - those who read them to try to feel some manifestation of love without having such a chance in their own life.
However, does love really exist beyond the bounds of love stories and in which cases can we be sure that we deal with love? It is really rather difficult to explain. To begin with, one more question should be answered: what does the word "love" means. In general, what do people usually mean by this word?
It goes without saying that we just get used to use the word "love" without thinking of the very meaning. On the one hand, each of us makes use of this word but, on the other hand, it is hardly possible today to meet a person who would be able to explain once and for all what does the word "love" mean. Thinking this way we can be mistaken implying by love something else that isn't actually love. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish love from habit or affection.
For one reason or another, some people refuse to believe in love. Maybe it is connected with some previous disappointment; maybe with the fact that they haven't ever been succeeded in love, maybe with something else, anyway, they have their reasons for it. Nevertheless, we should take into consideration the fact that the word "love" has once been invented by somebody, which means that this person had his or her reasons for it as well and that there are arguments not only against but also for it.
In what way can the existence of love be proved? Reading love stories allows us to experience the atmosphere of being in love, of course. Although, you won't come to any conclusion till you face love in real love. And as far as you feel it you can't help understanding that you have to do with nothing but love!
